Description

A delicious and healthy take on traditional Käsespätzle, perfectly prepared in an Airfryer for a crispy texture with less fat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g Spätzle
  • 200g Käse (z.B. Emmentaler oder Gouda)
  • 1 Zwiebel
  • 100ml Sahne
  • Salz
  • Pfeffer
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Slice the onion into rings and sauté in a pan with some butter until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Cook the Spätzle according to package instructions and drain.
  3. Mix the Spätzle with cream, grated cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Transfer the cheese mixture into the Airfryer basket, spreading it evenly.
  5. Top with the sautéed onions.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using low-fat cheese or less cheese. Gluten-free Spätzle can also be used for a gluten-free option.
